McDonald's reported their monthly sales this morning. Of course they touted their same store sales rising 4%. Less heralded were their global system-wide sales up a paltry 1.7% , the lowest in YEARS! Those are what will be reflected in total revenues. Furthermore, at the end of their press release they state they are taking

An overbought market that can't rally on good news. that's the story today. New home sales, durable goods, consumer sentiment, all good. We are not going to fall off a cliff on that kind of news though. Look for choppy trade ahead. It definitely seems we have to consolidate the gains, before we decide where to go next.
