An entertainment-driven technology cycle is upon us and Best Buy Co Inc (BBY) is the retailer that will lead you in it. Microsoft (MSFT) with its XBOX 360 games has Cramer convinced that entertainment and technology will be where the demand is. Hardware not software makes the games go and Nvidia (NVDA) and ATI Technologies Inc (ATYT) are the two companies putting that hardware out. Cell phones continue to move toward more entertainment and two companies are cheap enough to look at: Nokia (NOK) and Motorola Inc (MOT). Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) and Qualcomm (QCOM) both are involved in the making of phones which makes them companies to look at. Multi-Fineline Electonix Inc (MFLX) is too wrapped up in Motorola Inc to be owned.
Look at what you know when you are thinking about buying stocks. Cramer used the following examples:
Potholes in the road? Vulcan Materials Company (VMC), Martin Marietta Materials Inc (MLM), and Rinker Group Ltd (RIN).
At the mall he noticed an enticing look at stores like Limited Brands Inc (LTD) and TJX Companies (TJX).
Commerce Bancorp (CBH) won Cramer over when he banked there and the service he received was excellent.
Cramer called Sony Corp (SNE) "undermanaged" due the company getting beaten by Microsoft (MSFT) and the Xbox and Apple Computer Inc (AAPL) and the iPod.
Mexico has seen some of their companies outperform American counterparts such as:
American Movil SA DE CV (AMX) in wireless, Cemex SA DE CV (CX) for building and Homex Development Corp (NYSE: HXM) for middle class home buyers in Mexico.
Corning Incorporated (GLW) is up huge and Cramer would take some off the table if he owned it. If the stock pulls back to $15 Cramer said he would buy. Spring auctions should give Sotheby (BID) a bump higher. Gold and silver plays are Goldcorp Inc (GG) and Crystallex International Corp (AMEX: KRY). Cramer likes Cisco Systems (CSCO) although he compared it to 2000 and called it a "dog" in that regard. In the same area Cramer talked about a competitor Tellabs Inc (TLAB) which he likes. The other faces in the conversation were the usual suspects: Finisar Corp (FNSR), JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ: JDSU), MRV Communications Inc (MRVC), Broadcom (BRCM), Conexant Systems (CNXT), Avanex Corporation (AVNX), Ciena Corp (CIEN), and Mindspeed Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: MSPD).
