One quick note here on NEW.NEW oopened slightly over it’s resistance high of 45.65 and is now trading over 46.00. Wall St. Warrior made a mention of it breaking out yesterday, nice call.I played long starting at 45.90,adding taking some off and adding again with a final sale at 46.69.Nice setup off the 1 minute chart especially at the 9:43 and 9:46 candles off the 5 period sma.Good trading all.
This thing is known to fall back quickly,as I have watched it trade for over a year now.
Update 11:57: NEW broke out after a small pullback intraday,I missed that re-entry,but nice call to Wall St. Warrior on that one.
Trading and the fed at 2006-04-04 01:40:17
Today and yesterday offered some great opportunities.I had a few nice shorts in ICE today one was from the 69.25 off the 11:44 am 1 minute candle. Rode the 5 period moving average down and covered at 68.61 for a nice trade. The market didn’t seem to like the statements from the fed as there was a fairly harsh selloff after the announcement as the fed raised another .25 basis points. They also seemed to hint there is still more raising with a target of 5.25 as we now sit at 4.75. Lots of opportunity out there either way.Good trading everyone.I know I’m lacking in the visual department lately, just haven’t had the time for much blogging lately.
